Good morning all,   I am looking to get a USB wireless adapter for my trusty thinkpad. The pcmcia slots are failing and it looks like I will have to try and go the USB direction. I would really like to find one that I can just take out of the box and plug in to my machine and DSL will find and load. You know one that works out of the box.

I have checked the wiki and there is not much there as far as what I am looking for.  I wonder if anyone in this community can help me out. So my question is this.

Do any of you know of a WIFI USB dongle that I can buy and just plug and go?

I would like the name brand and model number. It is sometimes difficult to verify chipsets. I will appreciate any suggestions.

It's very hard to recommend something specific, since they sometimes change the chipset without changing the model number.

Anyway with my Atheros cardbus card I got this brochure, and because the guys at Tp-link are so nice, they listed the chipsets for all their current products. So, Tp-link tl-wn321g usb dongle has a Ralink chipset, which should work just like that..

Thank's Curaga     I understand about manufacturing changes. That was the reason for the way I asked my question. I can only hope if I had specifics I would have a better chance. I will try and google up your recomendation.
