to have eth0 manually assigned (not DHCP)
Well, I use netcardconfig to assign the address etc But upon reboot again it usues dhcp assigned address.
So what to do?

I did as suggested
added to the /opt/bootlocal.sh
ifconfig eth0 xxx.xxx.x.xx
route add default gw xxx.xxx.x.x
echo nameserver xx.xx.xxx.xx > /etc/resolv.conf
upon boot it uses dhcp again
