is there a remote desktop feature in DSL?
or should i look at Ubuntu?

if it is possible then how would i go about accomplishing that goal

well,by default dsl has rdesktop for remoting directly to windows although i dont think the sound works, someone correct me if im wrong,
dsl also has vncviewer by default and vncserver in the software repositry.
