Are you trying to make DSL a firewall?

If so I recommend < SmoothWall Express [2.0] > which will run on comprable hardware that DSL will and will make it a very very powerfull (firewall/router only) system

no, i am trying to make a multi purpose server, i am using dsl as a base

Have you looked at < Firestarter Linux Firewall > Which can be built as a .dsl extension, which will allow you to manually build a very powerful firewall on DSL, I do believe it has the option to turn into a DHCP server with a single click!!!

that has a murerously huge amount of dependancies, the other one i found had less than that, looks very very powerfull and easy to configure though
