# X - query 192,168,0,10

and returned the following error:

# Bus Error

If will be able to help me, will be grateful.:)

Well, DSL doesn't have Xfree86 at all, we use the Kdrive X server, because its small. That might be part of your problem.

if this is an hdinstall and you can apt-get then just install and "apt-get install x-window-system"

Try something like this:
Xvesa -2button -screen 800x600x16 -shadow -nolisten tcp -I -once -query 192.168.0.10
Also look at the .xserverrc file in the home directory.

just wondering how easy this might be ?

as i tried adding X to my HD install of DSL and everything just seemed to just stop working...

what i'm looking for is a distro thats quick to boot, has PCMCIA support and can connect to XDMCP servers... can this all be done on DSL ? without messing it all up ???? if not anyone know of anything else that might be useful ?

Thanks...:D
