i have an orinoco usb client. it does not work. using modprobe to load orinoco drivers doesnt work either. it 'does not work' means that its not detected at all. the led is not lit up.

this usb client is connected to a usb hub, whcih is then connected to the computer. it works fine under windows 98, after installing drivers from proxim (http://www.proxim.com/support/all/orinoco/software/dl2002-oricli-win-sr-02.html).

my wireless router is a lucent one and has a orinoco gold card. (might be silver, didnt check) there is a cool-looking antenna connected to the card. the card is slotted into the router via pcmcia, i think.

Do you have a url to the manual, one above doesnt work...

Also have you done a google for it with linux at the end of it...if the problem has been solved Im sure you could locate it
