Thanks for your help

ico2,

I'm new to dsl;

I want to set up a proxy server ( for a small network );  with minimal hardware;

To be honest I don't know how to use ( or find ) app-get?

I'm a real newbie.  I have DSL installed on my harddrive;

If you want to make a firewall/router on minimal hardware I would recommend < SmoothWall Express 2.0 >, this includes everything you need and is a very powerful and easy to install/configure firewall distro...

That is also my other stomping ground on the internet!

or if you wish to use dsl then install dsl-dpkg.dsl (via the mydsl icon on the desktop), and in xterm type apt get install squid

I got apt-get setup and tried apt-get install squid.  It gives me :

Errors were encountered while processing:
zmailer
mailx
logroutate
squid

Anyone have any solution?
