I have a HP Omnibook XE3-GF running DSL, when i boot from cd it finds the wifi pcmcia card and all that, my onboard nic work fine as well, however upon entering dsl and going to wlancard to set it up. it says there is no wireless adapter found.

I know it sees the card at boot, but why once in DSL does it not find it.

If anyone knows how this can be resolved or has any ideas, please let me know.

thanks.

Unless there are some mind readers here who can figure out the name and model number of your Wlan card, I would expect to receive a somewhat less than helpful response.

I don't use wlan pcmcia card, so I am not much help but I figured that I owed you this much.

perhaps reading the title of my post would be a good idea.
ive already read in other areas on these forums stating what wifi cards work and more than one person listed a Linksys WPC11 V3. pcmcia card.

So, im not sure why they would need to be mind readers or anything.

sorry to rant, but the name and model were right there in the title of my post.

nvrmnd. turns out the card is not labelled right. its actually a V4! with thr RTL8180 chipset. so looks like i wont be using this card.
