I have to choose a printer for a network with
four computers and a router. I've discovered
Win98 and the current printer refuse to operate
within the addresses allowed by the router.
I think a HP model would be good, but is has to
be cheap to run also. Also, Black and White is
the choice to keep costs down also...
Most of the computers will have some uWin-OS,
but many people like Linux and what to use DSL.
Today was the topper! Now I need to print.

HP Laserjet 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 models are good choices.

HP uses the PCL printing format, which is well understood by most OS.

Of course the ideal solution would be a true postscript printer, but these are usually expensive.
