beta ftp is actually fairly easy to set up. Just start it and it should work. go to a different computer and type in the ipadress into the "host name/address:" box. If you have set up a web server and have a domain name for the computer then youcan use that instead. In the "user id:" box, put in your login name for the computer. In the "password:" box enter your login password for the computer and hit ok. you should get your home directory.to start beta ftp just right click on the desktop and go to system -> daemons -> ftpd -> betaftpd start. if you want beta ftp to start automaticaly when you start your computer type "/usr/sbin/betaftpd" to the bootlocal.sh file. probably located at /opt/bootlocal.sh save the changes and restart your computer |
