I don't want to type nodhcp.
What can I do without remastering?

depends on the type of install you have.

if you are running a frugal, edit lilo.conf and put nodhcp in there after append.

if live cd using backup/restore, you can put nodhcp in bootlocal.sh

if you're running hd install, use frugal or live :) because i don't know what to tell you, probably lilo editing needed.

If you are running from livecd, you can edit your syslinux.cfg (bootfloppy) file or your boot\isolinux.cfg (livecd) file with wordpad or notepad and add

nodhcp

to the first APPEND line in between the nomce and the noapic

Then save the file and next time you boot up, just press the ENTER key.

You can create a bootfloppy or with ISO editing tools, you can even edit the dsl.iso file.

tehre is no command called nodhcp, so I think is wrong to put such a line in bootlocal.sh
I don't want to rewrite another cd and the pc has got no floppy.
