Hello people,I´m trying to setup a NetGear WG511 v2, but no alternative until now. Oh Lord, fortunately, DSL V2.0 has a Pcmcia TOOL, and it says that is a Marvell Semicoductor 802.11g cardBus using 88W8310 chip. Marvell site has no Linux driver. Does any one have faced this card before? Thanks from Brazil, land of beutiful women and places, NettoBR Posted by jimbo62 on Oct. 14 2005,18:13
My Netgear WG511 version 2 PC card has the Duette chip set which uses the Prism54 driver and isl3890 firmware. My card was made in Taiwan. I have heard about version 2 cards made in China that do not have the Duette chip set. Where was your card made? If it was made in Taiwan, I can give you details on how to get it working.Good luck, jimbo Posted by tempestuous on Oct. 15 2005,01:06
Use ndiswrapper. See ndiswrapper's compatibility list - < http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/index.php/List >Your card is at "N" item 29 or 30. Take note of which Windows drivers can be used ... the Windows XP driver is no good. |
