OK This is HP nc6120: P mobile 1.86 a lot of RAM (1.5 GB). Almost all new distribution of linux (Ubuntu 3.10 , Knoppix~4) had drivers for my wireless. Posted by AwPhuch on Nov. 04 2005,19:42
Do you know what module what loaded when the wireless worked on those other distros?
Perhaps you can manually activate it if it has the module in the drivers deal Brian AwPhuch Posted by AaaA on Nov. 04 2005,21:38

AaaA,I recently made a myDSL package of the ipw2200 driver for DSL2.0, and another forum member has tested it successfully. The package has been submitted as a mydsl download, but won't appear there until approved. You can email me if you want it sooner. Posted by jago25_98 on Nov. 09 2005,16:38
