Well,

I've been "frugaling" right along now for a couple of months now, loving it.  Notice that about every 5-6 boot, I have to re-pump the wireless PCI card (Netgear MA311) to get it up.  I set the iwconfig and pump once in /opt/bootlocal.sh.  Now for two days I'm getting the error message in the post title.  Card is disabled, not eth0 in ifconfig, just lo.   Tried prism, no help.
It's a dual boot PC and the darn thing works every time with WinXP (man, I hate that).  Any help on getting this to work is appreciated.

I've tried resetting the card with
Code Sample
iwpriv eth0 force_reset
and this helps.  Now it gets to the router, gets the DHCP info EXCEPT it has the wrong gateway IP???  The output of ifconfig and iwconfig look normal.  So I use netcardconfig and set a static IP (with the proper gateway and DNS IP).  Still doesn't work.  I can PING the router just fine.  I pump the card at it's fine.  Still works EVERY time in Windows.

After reading a number of posts that indicated that wireless networking problems cropped up with the 2.0 release, I downloaded  DSL 1.5.  Booted up on it a couple of times and the wireless card works just fine.  Seems to be pulling the configuration info from the HD (iwconfig paramaters), even though I booted on the CD.  I guess maybe I'll just frugal install this version and try it for awhile.
