Hi. I downloaded DSL and liked the looks of it, especially since I'd like to burn it to a USB drive. However, my network card refuses to activate. It's a Broadcom 440x 10/100 controller in a Dell Inspiron 9200 w/XP Home.

It comes up just fine in Ubuntu and PCLinuxOS as well as XP. The two other Linuxes use the B44 driver to bring it up. Any answers out there? Thanks.

Can you activate it manually?

sudo su
modprobe b44
netcardconfig
exit
exit

Thanks for the reply. That worked. I'd downloaded 1.5DSL a short time before this and had the same problem. I'd checked in your forums and found that solution, but it didn't work. Somehow I'd convinced myself that it didn't work in DSL 2.0 as well as 1.5 without trying it. Heh. Anyway, my next chore now is to see if I can figure out how to get it onto my 128mb USB1.1 drive. I'll play with that concept for a while. Again, thanks for the reply.
