Any Idee how I can fix this? I'd found allready topics but they all have a networkcard.

System specifications: 16mb RAM
                              intel (80)468
                              1.3GB HDD

I only have a floppy drive. Only DSL on harddisk is fine. So fulltime linux
:)

Grtz and thx

Probably to remove the hard drive and use an adapter for laptop hard drive to normal hard drive and install in a whitebox with a cdrom then put it back in laptop. DSL boots will autodetect so should not be an issue installing in a foreign host.

Dont expect a miracle...Id say put at least 256Meg swap and listen to it grind!  If at all possible get more RAM

But you can't "cut" DSL in little pieces, so you can put it on floppies?
I don't want to buy things or so.

But thx anyway :cool:

You could buy 60 new floppies and use < this method > as listed in the Wiki.
But be warned it will be very slow with so little memory even with a swap partition.

Xantos;
With a serial or parallel crossover cable and using DOS "Interlink" you can copy the DSL CD from another computer.  Not fast or elegant but it works in situations like yours.  Beware of DOS limitations on long file names and hard drives over 2 GB.
