Anyone know what this is? So far I haven't noticed anything not working. Posted by roberts on Jan. 13 2006,07:04 This is directly related to acpi acpi=off will take care of that error message, however, other things may break. YMMV Posted by cbagger01 on Jan. 16 2006,04:31 I have seen the module block major 2 error appear when I am trying to boot DSL from a computer system that has no floppy drive present, like the new Dell Optiplex "Legacy Free" desktop PCs. Posted by Onyarian on Jan. 16 2006,14:04 cbagger01, That's truth, my new PC don't have a floppy and I have the same error. What can I do? Onyarian. Posted by cbagger01 on Jan. 17 2006,03:55 Ignore it. The error message is not a problem. Posted by RoGuE_StreaK on Jan. 17 2006,06:22 Yep, my laptop doesn't have a floppy.  I think in my brief googling there was mention of block-major-2 being floppy related. Haven't had any issues that I know of, it just looks "not nice" when errors pop up on boot. |
