i use the live cd, in compaq presario 1255, the lcd dont work, but works fine with a crt monitor, the problem is when i use the livecd to boot the dsl, do all the things good, but when enter the show the dsl desktop the video see very horrible, is very bright and yellow i dont see anithing, anyone can help me plz.

Maybe try start command in "Welcome Screen"

Maybe You known how set my screen resolution 1024x600 on Toshiba Portege 300CT ?
TFT 10,4" 16:9 and Chips & Technologies 65554 2 MB
Now is 800x600 with almost 2" black margin in left and right side LCD panel.
Working, but maybe cant working better

I have the presario 1245 and had the same problem. I needed to enter fb800x600 at the boot prompt and then chose the next option that was suggested for older laptops (Xfbdev)

iansl2000, before instaling on HDD You must write fb800x600. Me too on my Toshiba.
After installing on HDD DSL starting automaticaly in resolution 800x600.
Maybe is autodetection problem with graphic card or LCD(TFT) panel ?

Compaq 1245 and 1255 it`s similar models with AMD 333 MHz processor.
I have P133MHz only
