Hi ive tried to get help some weeks ago at another place in this forum, but still not a single reply... and the rest is silence...Since im plain desperate i try to repost my worry under this part of the forum. This may be a "feature" of the Xvesa X-server. I have a 66 MHz 486 with 8 MB where I have installed Baslic Linux 3.02 and a Slackware 7.1 based distro. Basic comes with Xvesa and is slow, whereas Slack uses Xfree 3.3.6 and is noticably faster. Sorry, but I cannot be more positive ... :-(
