Everything else is working great though. Had to modify lilo.conf to fix my screen resolution at 800x600 and one modifcation to make it recognize my buffalo 10/100 lan pcmcia card. Any help with getting the sound to work is much appreciated.

You might try the following link. There is a recommendation to use modprobe to load opl3-sa2 modules.
