Hi

I have a toshiba laptop with one usb port. I currently use a mini usb mouse - which works ok - and a usb stick - that works properly too.

The issue is that i don't know how to switch between those two on the fly .

Using the live cd feature of DSL, if i tell DSL to use a usb mouse, after that i can't simply unplug the mouse and mount the usb stick, it's not recognized.

And the other way round, if i choose not to use the usb mouse, i can mount my usb stick, but the usb mouse is not recognized.

Of course, i'm a complete novice  :) . Is there a way to solve this? That is, other than using a ps/2

Thanks and regards

If you have enough ram, boot with the toram option, then you can unplug the memory stick.

However I presume you can't save extensions later on.

A USB hub, is maybe in your future? :;):

Hi

I'm afraid a hub doesn't make any difference with regard to this issue. Besides, if W98SE can do it, (i wish i could get rid of it :D ), DSL should be able too.

The hub should work as long as it's plugged in and both the mouse and the stick are plugged into it when you boot.
