Hi, when I try to configure sound, I get errors, plus, I cant save my info to a USB Drive, when I try to mount it I get that the filesystem cannot be determinated, I dunno if some one can help me, thanks in advance

I'm guessing the errors your writing about is from the
sndconfig tool ... it usually segfaults...

What kind of soundcard does your IBM have in it ?

DId you try the command " modprobe sb" from a root shell ??

My IBM 770 uses the cs4232 crystal sound card.

Search the forums for my posts about setting up this card if yours
matches this one...

It also shows how to add the config to your modutils...

Ok I ran the "modprobe" command, and did nothing, and yes it segment faults except with the Crystal Fusion driver, but with the Crystal Fusion doesnt work...

I had to use "insmod uart401" FIRST , then the
"insmod cs4232" command

See my other post... search for "770 AND sound" in the forums, this year..
