i recently downloaded DSL and i burned the iso with toast titanium exactly how it should and then on boot i went into the BIOS of my ibm thinkpad t21 and put it to start from the cd rom but it just runs xp instead. i dont know what im doing wrong. i know i burned the iso right and im 90% sure im doing the bios right because i have booted PHLAK like that before (another linux distro). Please help!!! im anxious to get this working because it looks so DAMN cool! Posted by BigKen on Aug. 29 2004,02:57
I've tried to boot off of DSL 0.8 and I'm getting the following message on a laptop I've never had a problem booting DSL:ISOLINUX 2.04 (Debian, 2003-06-06) isolinux: Image checksum error, sorry... Boot failed: press a key to retry... Laptop is an old IBM 380D with 48 MB RAM, 2 GB HD. |
