boot from usb-dvd

hi all,

i have an ibm thinkpad x24 laptop and it have no internal cdrom. it only have a external usb-dvd. when i boot dsl 2.4 from the external usb-dvd it start to load untill it load the usb driver. it load many usb driver (usb-masstorage, usb-apci...) but it do no reconice the usb-dvd driver so it leave with the following message "i cant find the dsl cdrom"

what can i do?

Try the boot floppy.

thanks for the repply but i dont have a floppy, i just only have a usb-dvd, and a hdd (i prefer boot from usb-dvd if it is posible)
