DSL i like for a good dma implementation:
i got 5.7 MB/s on such laptop - it is grate :)

But some problem with video.

I have frugal install DSL 3.0.1 and whant to use
xfree86 server but i think that after install of xfree86.dsl
system is still using xvesa.

lspci gives this:

0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: ALi Corporation M1621 (rev 05)
0000:00:01.0 PCI bridge: ALi Corporation PCI to AGP Controller (rev 01)
****
0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Rage Mobility P/M AGP 2x (rev 64)

So actually i don't need xfree86 i need anything that will
support Rage Mobility mach 64 a litle better than xvesa do:)

Any sugestions or experance share will be welcome and very much needed.

You'll need to read the xfree86.dsl.info to set your card up properly.

I'm using a mach64 too I believe, and video acceleration works quite nicely with this extension.

Yes, I use frugals.

For XF86:
Follow the .info !
Then I edited XF86Config-4_generic_ati as the base template for my config, as my config and placed it as /etc/XF86Config-4
