hello everyone...i'm a completely newbie on linux... so... take calm!! well... i tried to run dsl on my notebook (is a Toshiba 1400-S151) and i simple get stucked in the line "Scanning for HardDisk partitions and creating /etc/fstab..." well... the message makes me thing that if i create a linux partition (ext2 or something like that) my problem will be solved... but i was wrong of course!! just to remember: i'm nothing with linux stuff, at this moment at least... i've read some articles, than i discovered the command line "dsl dma"... well, it makes a little progress, but now i get stucked on the line "xauth: creating new authority file /home/dsl/ .Xauthority" (and, if i'm not wrong, this is the last line before the X interface get on work)... moreover, with this command line "dsl dma" , i get a lot of errors like "insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/fs/...blablabla... : No such file or directory" by the way, my dsl version is 2.2... and sorry by my horrible english!! that's all!! thnx!!
