I have been at this for about three days straight. I have installed and reinstalled to my HDD, but to no avail. So the problem is that even using NDISWRAPPER,  I am unable to use my Linksys WPC11 card. I don't see anything in Card manager from the panel. I  have a disk with the windows driver and another disk with the massive Linux driver. I do not know how I would go about loading the Linux driver. I need a little more explanation this is my first Linux use.

Hello,

Forum members will be more able to help you if you provide the following information:

1.  What  version of the WPC11 card do you have?

2. What version of DSL are you running?

3.  If you type "lspci" in Aterm, what is the output?

Is there anyway to make sure the cardbus is working, without getting the driver installed?

Okay I messed with BIOS settings, and now the card is showing up in LSPCI. However when I attempt to do the NDISWrapper, my system freezes completely. Any suggestions?

I tried using a Zydan usb adapter as well, and I get the same system freeze when I try to connect. Any suggestions?

How long did you wait?

Sometimes, with my WPC54G, I have to wait a minute or two for it to connect.... works great once it does, and I am using NDISWrapper with the Linksys Windows driver.

Only other thing I can think of is to make sure you are using the latest driver.

First have you seen my post at: < http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/talk/node/256 >

Second, I'm currently on a Toshiba satellite 2805-s202 using a linksys wpc11 version 4.  when I do a lspci this is what I get

0000:15:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8180L 802.11b MAC (rev 20)

I have a frugal install with perm home and opt directories so my boot parms will be different then yours but mine are:
root=/dev/hda5
vga=normal
quiet
pci=noacpi
apm
frugal
dma
toram
mydsl=hda6
restore=hda5
home=hda5
opt=hda5

I'm running 2.3 of DSL on this machine.

I'd suggest you try running from the liveCD and see if you can get it working from that first.
