I have not had much luck configuring wireless cards in DSL.  Currently, I am trying to install a MA401 on Thinkpad 770s and 380xd, but to no avail.  The cards com up in Ubuntu without a problem.

According to the Wiki, the Netgear MA401 should come up without any configuring, but I don’t seem to know the magic words.

Ifconfig does not show any eth’s.

Any help would be appreciated.

which version of DSL are you using?

on a TP 560x, the MA 401 has worked with no need of doing anything for every version of DSL i've tested with the exception of one -- i think it was 2.2 or there abouts.

if i recall correctly, and i might not, i had to configure the wireless card through the Wlanconfig module in the DSL panel. i'm a Linux novice and i don't remember that i had a problem. like nearly everything else about this distro, it was probably intuitively easy.
