My mother has an Toshiba Tecra 8000 64 mb ramI burned DSL and i wanted to check it on her laptop. When i put the cd in on startup it goes like this:
usb devices ok
cardmgr ok
auto configuring devices ok
then it goes to xconfigure
And there it ends
i get a cursor and thats it. The only thing i think is relevant is that it says something about /home
I hope someone can help me.

i used:dsl 2 then i got root so i think thats ok
base did nothing
desktop = fluxbox then the latest lines are:
setting desktop to: fluxbox
su(pam_unix)[533]:sesion opened fo user dsl by (uid=o)
Using Xvesa default 1024x768x32 -mouse "/dev/psaux",5 mouse
xauth: creating new authority file /home/dsl/.Xauthority
what am i doing wrong?
because i first want to see it before installing it.

Try setting framebuffer using a resolution you know your laptop supports. If you aren't sure, start with 800x600 (which should work regardless).

Thank you very much the framebuffer set to 800x600 and now it works
