Hello,

I'm trying to save a few laptops from the waste pile.  These don't have USB ports, CD drives, or floppy.  The LPT port floppy may work, these used to have a CD ROM that ran off the PC card slot made by Port, but I think they went bankrumpt.

Could you sell a CF card that these laptops could read in the adapter, I already have, and boot like the DSL CD would have in that Port CD drive?  If you already have such files for download and burning on another computer, and then save to a CF card, please point  me to them and the how-to.

Thank you for DSL, Puppy is getting too fat for 128 mb RAM laptops it seems,

As far as I know, no laptop can boot from a pcmcia-cf adapter.
If your adapter is cf-ide, then just boot another comp with the livecd while that cf card is in and do a frugal install..

It all boils down to: is it a pc-card to cf or ide to cf adapter?
