did you md5sum the iso before you burned it?

did you actually create a cd from the image, or did you click-and-drag it to your cd-r drive?

will it boot on other computers? if it will, get the boot floppy image and use rawrite to make a boot floppy.

...I gotta work on the FAQ so that we can point common questions like this to it...

The cd won't be bootable if you extract the files then burn it. What you need to do is use your burning program to directly burn the image from the iso. Normally you can right click on the iso file, go to open with, and tell it to open it with your burning program.

Correct,
Simply copying the files from one meduim to another does not
a bootable CD make !!

The "el torito" bootable area of your cd has to be loaded with the
boot image as well..

SO use a program that will take the "image" buried within the .iso
and burn it to a cdr, duplicating the original master copy precisely.
