How many ppl here have this laptop?I Have noticed these problems.
It does not boot with dsl 8,2 !! it gives me a bac checksum error at boot . I have tried 3 different burned cds and all give me the same error. DSL 7.2 boots fine and this is what i have installed.
Also, i get the above error with other minimal 50mb distros but i know the cds are ok because they work on my other machines.
Last how do i enter in the BIOS?
del F1 F2 F11 F12 dont do the trick

Even though its 2 years late I will answer you questions anyway at least if for nothing else except the next person doing a search.As of right now I am having the same checksum error when trying to boot dsl-2.2RC2 from the CD. If i am able to figure it out I will post how i fixed it later.
As for the 2nd question, to enter bios you have to hold down the F1 key until it pops up.

Does theDSL 2.2 syslinux .iso
version work?
