Has anyone ever had experience installing DSL with a floppy and a parallel port backpack cdrom drive? I'm running the floppy installation right now, but it would have been nice to do it from the cd. I have used the parallel backpack CDRW drive with knoppix and I would expect that it also would work with DSL.However, I have NOT used it to boot up DSL. Yeah I saw that post for the parallel zip drive. I just haven't been ambitious enough to try and make my own boot disk. Thanks for the link on how to get the drive up once I've got it running. I'm sure that will come in handy.

Ok this is really stupid but I just ended up using part of the floppy method (making 2 dos partitions) then booted to dos with the backpack drivers on that dos boot floppy loaded the dos backpack drivers and copied the files to the d drive from the cd that way.
