ppp connection problems

I install dsl to my harddrive , but when my ppp connects to the internet it will not let me browse. It shows that it is connected but it will not let me surf the internet. thanks for any help. P.S I have a laptop.

i figured out what to do. I clicked winmodem (whick registered my laptop pcmcia modem) , then I configured ppp and loggoned on. I was able to browser the web.
