Hi,

I have successfully installed dsl rc1 on a harddisk partition of my Asus A2D a few weeks ago and also made some package additions. However, I'd like to activate powernow option of my athlon xp 2800+.

-How can I do that?
- Should I rebuild kernel? Which module option? if so how can I do that without changing other original kernel configuration for dsl.

I don't want to make kernel size bigger.

BTW, Keep up the good work guys, DSL is just great.

Thanx in advance...

Hi,

I've a similar question in mind. For laptops, I'd like to be able to add something to allow the cpu to dynamic scale down its frequency (cpufreq?) as well as a means to monitor the temperature of the laptop. (Monitoring fan speed would be an additional bonus)

Thanks in advance.

any tips and pointers either way? for fun, with the dsl on my usb drive i tranferred the kanotix kernel and minirt.gz over but of course what happens next is that it boots the kanotix knoppix image on my hdd instead of that from the usb drive. is there a way to use the kanotix kernel instead of the default dsl kernel?
