I was wondering if there is a program for the silt that would show how much battery I have left on my laptop or if there is another way to display this in dsl?

Thanks for your reply. I apologize for not seeing this before I posted. I downloaded it and it shows up under the menu "myDSL" but when I click on it, it doesnt do anything. Its also not in the slit, so I am just wondering how to use this.

I have been searching the forums for info on wmacpi and found some other posts about it saying that as of version 0.9.x it quit functioning. I dont know if it is true, I am using 1.1  Also another post talked about thier laptop doesn't support acpi. I am using an older IBM Thinkpad i-series. How do I know if it supports acpi? I am just trying to figure out if I did something to make it not work or if I am not able to use it. Any help is appreciated.

Try "Enable Apt" and then

apt-get install wmapm

and try the wmapm program.

Or Try "Synaptic" and get it from the program list.
