Hi,
I am running DSL on an old laptop without a HDD, Idealy i would like to do a frugal install to a CF card on the PCMCIA adaptor i have.
I have done this, however it is not bootable.. does anyone know where i could get a boot disk image that will allow me to boot from PCMCIA-HDD??
Thanks :)

your laptop BIOS has to support booting from it, see if you can select that in the boot options.

The laptop is a thinkpad 370z which unfortunatly dosn't support it in BIOS, is there a boot floppy that will allow me to do it?
Thanks

You may be able to get it to boot by booting DSL on a different computer and then copy the pcmcia driver module files over to a 2nd floppy disk.

Then, boot DSL on your target machine via the normal boot floppy with the "expert" cheatcode.

Then insert your driver floppy and type in the module when prompted.

I have never done this, but in theory it should work.

Good Luck.
