Does anyone know how to configure that audio card? I wouldn't care but doom sucks with no sound! I worked for a while trying to find out exactly what kind of laptop it was... so please help so I didn't just waste time!

I used the cmd line utility, soundconfig iirc & told it to look at the unusual irq/IO possibilitys (it says it takes longer but on a laptop strange settings are more common). It found my Yamaha OPL Synth settings & was done in about 5 minutes.

You need to load and configure the cs4232 OSS audio driver, which is native to DSL (and all distros using the 2.4 kernel).See < http://damnsmalllinux.org/cgi-bin....=cs4232 >
If you can't get it working, you might then want to try the ALSA drivers, which must be installed first from the mydsl download section.
