Hi all,

I have a very old laptop (HP Omnibook 2000CS, 32mb RAM, 1.3 Go HD, no CD). I could install DSL through the frugal_lite script. I then made an hd-install and all went fine.

Now I would like to use a PCMCIA USB2 adapter. At boot, Card Manager finds the adapter. usbtree returns the following output:

/:  Bus 03.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ehci_hcd/2p, 480M
/:  Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=usb-ohci/1p, 12M
/:  Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=usb-ohci/1p, 12M

Now the problems: I can't mount a usb stick or connect my digital rebel camera (gtkam cannot find it).

I'm complete newbie on Linux and really don't know what to do. FYI, i have tried the pcmcia usb card on another laptop under Knoppix and I could mount the usb stick easily, so the card is not broken. And on the faulty laptop, I have network access through a pcmcia card.

Anyone who could help ?
If it helps, you can look at the < output >of 'dmesg'. This was captured after booting with the pcmcia card and usb stick connected (not the camera).

Best regards,
Jean-Francois.
