Hi, I have a frugal DSL install on my old laptop.  I'm trying to get a PCMCIA card to work but I really don't know what to do.  The card provides USB ports.  I'm not sure if it's working or not.  There isn't a beep or anything.  cardctl info gives me a "no pcmcia driver in /proc/devices".  I guess I need to know what needs to be done under DSL to get a PCMCIA card working.  Any suggestions?

try putting the card in the slot and booting the machine with the card installed. Watch the boot messages after you see pcmcia detected, it will tell you if it detects your card and then you will see it load usb...HTH's //p
