If the md5sum checks out, and your burned the cd at 16x or less, try the failsafe cheatcode.

also the lowram cheatcode might be good too.

I tried also the same cd with a new laptop (Centrino and 512 Mb of ram) and it works... Can be a lack of Ram memory???

I wouldnt think that ram would be the issue as dsl has been run by many with 32mb, although if you wanted to pick up more it would help performance.
Have you tried the failsafe code that Saidin suggested? If it still doesnt boot with failsafe than I am not sure.

What about the media.  I have an old CDROM in my p200 and it has trouble reading from 700M disks (can't boot, using boot floppy with root= option, DSL, Ubunto, DeliLinux, can't read Burned Win98 on 700M disk, can't read burned backups on 700M disks either).  I have the same problem with an older parallel backpack writer.  Some older drives just won't read the newer disks.  Try to find a 650M disk to burn the DSL and burn at 1x speed and see if that helps.
