Hi,

I'm using the latest version of DSL on a 233 Mhz Presario 1681 with 48 mb ram.

Everything loads fine, but there's a bit of trouble moving the pointer. The pointer starts off in the center of the screen, but when I use the touchpad, it zips down to the very bottom of the screen and will only move horizontally.

At boot I use fb800x600, select Xfbdev xserver, and select PS/2 2 button mouse with US keyboard.

Has anyone heard of this before, and what would you suggest as a solution? Thank you.

The TinyX/Kdrive/Freedesktop.org xservers don't seem to like your mouse protocol.

Try installing the XFree86.dsl and see if you can get it to work with your laptop.
