I have DSL on my Thinkpad 760EL using the poorman's install, using the KNOPPIX\KNOPPIX file on C and the boot floppy, This is really great as the only other distro I have been able to load was Blueflops (which is useful but I am sure the thinkpad is capable of more)
I have been using Linux a year on my PC

My trouble is that the screen is very low definition with strange yellowness around the images, a bit like a negative.
The text is readable, Just,
I have tried the graphics options on the F3 boot up,
sometimes I get "cant locate modukle FB0" and "Fatal 10 error 104"

I have read other postings for thinkpads here but havent found a solution
Can anyone help?

BTW I run DSL on a newer thinkpad T21 laptop just fine, I just wanted to save the old thinkpad!  I have been so amazed with DSL over the last year and a half, I keep coming back to it instead of the more bloated distros. :;):  :)

I think this is a problem with the lightweight Xvesa X-server that DSL uses. You could try to install the full XFree mydsl package. A link to more info about linux on IBM laptops: < http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/ibm.html >
