I am trying to install DSL on a Dell Inspiron 8200, and have been unsuccessful in getting the touchpad and mouse-nipple to work. I looked online, and it seems that the software "tpconfig" is used for this. I can't seem to find a binary installer for this (kinda new to linux though, and it seems everything has to be compiled to install), and I don't have enough HD space for gcc to compile it. Anyone know how to make the touchpad work?

Another unrelated issue... how do I have the wireless card activate on boot? I can activate it with ndiswrapper, wlanconfig and ifconfig, but it's kind of a pain to have to do each of those separately each time I boot.

http://packages.debian.org/tpconfig

Here's a link to what may be a debian package.
< http://compass.com/synaptics/ > This is a RPM link, and has the source as well.
