Original Gateway solo, P75, 48 MB memory, VESA video, interchangeable CD/floppy.  I can get DSL loaded in command line, but it locks up when I try any of the video options.  Video controller listed as C&T 65545/65548 VESA local bus, graphics SVGA (800x600x256).  I've tried the DSL 7xx options, DSL vga=normal, VESA option, etc.

Anybody got any advice?  Thanks, Marion

I also am using a Gateway Solo, P90 but w/ 16 megs of ram. I can get into X just fine, I boot with the default command line and I use vesa driver, 800x600.

I AM having problems with colors though. It seems that I'm only getting about 8 colors or so in X, so everything is incredibly hard to read or see. I'm still trying to work this out though, as I just got everything running on it today.

Sound is also giving me a problem as well. Have you tried any sound apps yet?
