I want to install latex and lyx and imagemagick from Debian cds. How do i find out, which cds i need, i do not want to burn all of them?

You don't need a Debian CD to get binaries from their repositories. It's easier to use apt-get/synaptic (or the DSL repository, which I know has imagemagick) for that since different versions of those programs will have different sets of dependencies you'll have to fulfill. You can download .debs and install them locally, but you still have to meet dependencies.

I forgot to mention, that this is for a computer without internet access.

Use the null-modem connection to transfer them..
Or just burn them to a cd..

null modem:i tried to get internet access that way, but finally gave up.
files on CD: I tried that, but for these programs the dependencies are too complex.

Hmm, which versions are you trying to install? Why not burn the dependencies to CD, too?
