im quite the newb with linux and DSL but i was wondering can you use this apt-get to download other versions of linux.  and if so could please tell me how...i would like to get a redhat9 but when i try to download and install through a cd it gets all ed and freezes and is a mess....kinda like when i try to HD install DSL it wont install...i dont know lemme know if you can dl other distribes using apt-get

Debian, Progeny, Knoppix...

You could always check distrowatch.com and find the distros that are debian-compatible.
