HI!

I want to install gpg and gpa as gui.

I download gpa_0.7.0-1_i386.deb
I install with mydsl the gnupg.dsl, dsl-dpkg and gnu-utils
If I call synaptic, it downloads apt_0.5.4_i386 and after this nothing.
If I run "apt-get update", it downloads some packets, then I run "apt_get install gpa_0.7.0-1_i386" in the same directory with gpa_0.7.0-1_i386.deb and as root, and I become:

Reading Package List...Done
Building Dependency Tree...Done
E: Couldn't find package gpa_0.7.0-1_i386

and nothing more...

What is wrong?, how can I execute synaptic?, is there another method to install something?

I work with tripleboot instalation and in this moment directly boot from the CF

Thanks

Onyarian

The problem is out.

I have installed via apt-get and then with dpkg and works fine.

The problem was that the newbes in DSL , like I, that don't have experience with debian packages, find in this distribution programs that never hear before, and have to spend a lot of time to read what are this programs, how they works and how to install it, because there is no programs guide we have to learn with the old test-error.

I am compiling my experience as newbe and later I want to put it as a document for all newbes, so they can save time and problems. ???

Greetings

Onyarian
