From the point where I put "#" to the point where "#" shows up again might be irrelevant information, but if you are wondering how my problem came to be then you should read it.
##########################
I recently picked up a huge interest for linux after having been repeatedly frustrated with the ever-so unreliable windows.
Well there's one Linux distro I downloaded (I won't disclose the name as it might be considered advertising.)
The program ran via LiveCD
I used the only CD I had to burn the ISO image because I thought this would be the only distro I'd need, based on Screenshots and info.
But I was wrong, the program was crappy, The language was screwed up, and I couldn't do anything to the settings because all of the options were in the foreign language so I couldn't change the language to english and I couldn't fix the resolution (half of the desktop was cut off because of the default resolution.)
###############################
Now here's my problem.
I have no more CDs, and I cannot purchase any more. until probably next month. So I cannot run this Linux distro via LiveCD. I read on the site that you can install to harddrive, or run it while in Windows. I was looking for instructions on how to do it, but I could not find any.
So my question is, How do I install and run DSL to my harddrive without having to use the LiveCD technique? If it helps, my operating system is XP Home Edition and I have a 120 gig harddrive (with about 80 gigs remaining.)
