Can I load DSL onto a sd card?
Can I instal DSL onto my pda?
Does DSL recognise bluetooth?

How do I instal software onto DSL?

Thank you.

1. I think you probably could, but the question remains, can your hardware boot from an SD card?
2. The answer probably depends on your technical abilities. People have been installing DSL and modified remasters of it on all kinds of things.
3. I don't know the answer to this one since I haven't tried it. It probably depends on whether or not the drivers for your bluetooth hardware are available for Debian/Knoppix Linux.
4. There are different ways to do this and the answers are in the documentation on the download site, and in the Wiki. The easiest way in the Frugal install is to download the package you want from the DSL repository, and put it in the home directory. Then when you want to load it you just click on it in EmelFM. Or, if you want it to load up on boot, then you put it in the top of the same partition as your KNOPPIX directory.

if you like unix on pda you should by a sharp zaurus. I do own a zaurus c860 - no hard disk at all and with full quwerty and a fine 640x480 display - better than most I saw ...

i use it with gprs-internet via cf-gprs-card, it has cf and sd-card slot. with my 1GB sd-card it is really fun ... and next summer you will get at 4GB sd-card for 65 Euro ...

and lots of free software - ssh and perl and mulitmedia-player kino2 based on mplayer (you can watch full length films at vhs-quality) and all works fine ...

but sharp sells it directly only in japan - yes, we europeans are not interestet in top technologie. we have to by our annual dose of bills garage-software ...
